DEPARTMENT : Various Underground and Surface

Preference will be given to:

  • Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) youth aged between 18 and 34
  • Youth who qualify as applicants from our host communities, which include:
    o Bekkersdal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye,
    Kalbasfontein, Jachtfontein and Westonaria Borwa

To qualify as a host community applicant, you must:
a) be a matriculated resident of one of the host communities listed above; or
b) obtained Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate or equivalent) at a host community school

You Should Be:

  • Fluent in English – both spoken and written
  • Currently unemployed and have no previous formal work experience
  • Prepared to work underground and/or in surface risk areas, including rotational shifts and
    extended hours when required
  • Able to satisfy our pre-employment checks which include relevant assessments, qualification
    & security clearances, obtaining a certificate of fitness from the Gold Fields Occupational
    Health Centre, etc.
