Purpose of the YES Youth Programme

Nedbank’s initiative supports South Africa’s economic transformation by creating entry-level opportunities for unemployed youth. Participants will gain exposure to banking operations, financial products, and client relationship management, helping them become more competitive in the formal job market.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on your allocated division, duties may include:

  • Delivering professional call centre services to clients.
  • Managing customer queries and promoting Nedbank’s banking and insurance products.
  • Handling sales, service, or collections calls efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, you must:

  • Hold a Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Matric).
  • Be between 18 and 29 years old (born between November 1995 and November 2007).
  • Be unemployed and have never participated in a YES Programme before.
  • Be a South African citizen (African, Coloured, or Indian) as per the B-BBEE Act.
  • Have a valid South African ID document.

Technical & Communication Skills

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of any additional South African language is advantageous.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Email, CRM systems).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
