Job Purpose
The Western Cape Mobility Department, Government Motor Transport (GMT), has an opportunity for 10 qualified and competent individuals to render administrative functions in the following sections: Fleet Planning and Acquisition, Fleet Administration, Repair and Maintenance, and Fleet Rental Services.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)
  • A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence

Key Performance Areas

  • Administer the planning, acquiring, conversion, fitment, and preparation of the vehicle fleet
  • Administer the registration, licensing, deregistration, and change of ownership of disposed vehicles
  • Administer in-vehicle technology, tracking, and control systems
  • Administer eTag units, fuel/new energy vehicle (NEV) cards, and fuel management
  • Administer vehicle auctions
  • Administer repair, maintenance, and fitment processes
  • Administer contract management with GMT service providers
  • Provide administrative and rental support to National and Provincial Departments in the Western Cape

Remuneration
R228 321 – R268 950 per annum (Salary Level 5)
