Programme Overview
The Transnet Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2025 provides practical workplace training and accredited work experience for students and recent graduates. This non-technical programme is designed to enhance employability by combining academic knowledge with hands-on training, mentorship, and direct exposure to real business operations over a period of 12 months.
Position Outputs
Task Execution
- Assist in departmental projects and work-streams
- Perform routine operational tasks under supervision
- Provide support with administrative duties and reporting
Learning & Development
- Participate in training sessions and workshops
- Receive on-the-job mentorship from experienced specialists
- Develop analytical and problem-solving skills
Communication & Collaboration
- Engage with internal teams, suppliers and customers
- Provide updates on assigned tasks and project progress
- Act as a contact point for queries and support
Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research and data collection
- Assist with preparing reports and presentations
- Support business process improvement initiatives
Compliance & Safety
- Follow company policies, procedures and safety regulations
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all duties
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Completed N6 theory in one of the following fields:
- Office Management
- Human Resources
- Marketing Management
- Logistics & Communication
- Must be a South African citizen
- Age between 18 – 35 years
- Preference will be given to Persons with Disabilities
- No bursary obligation with another company
- Proof of registration/letter from institution (recent)
- Certified copies of Matric certificate, academic record and ID
