Requirements

• Education: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7)
• Registration: Registered as a Security Officer Grade C or higher with PSIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Authority)
• Experience: Relevant experience in a psychiatric environment is essential
• Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and rotate between units
  • Willingness to perform delegated duties in all units

Job Responsibilities

• Control access/egress and escort patients on/off hospital premises
• Assist in handling aggressive, violent, or uncontrolled patients
• Support security services in all hospital areas to prevent incidents, abscondments, and litigation
• Monitor and control surveillance systems to identify threats or suspicious activity
• Report and record all incidents, patient movements, and related activities
• Provide efficient support to the Operational Manager
