Role Overview

The Service Consultant will deliver an exceptional client experience by:

  • Guiding customers on digital banking solutions and self-service platforms.
  • Handling teller functions, deposits, withdrawals, and ATM balancing.
  • Ensuring compliance with banking security, fraud prevention, and FAIS requirements.
  • Promoting value-added financial products and supporting Nedbank’s mission to grow digital adoption in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

  • Educate clients on mobile banking apps, online transactions, and ATM services.
  • Assist with account queries, card services, and prepaid purchases.
  • Build long-term relationships while identifying cross-selling opportunities.

Business Operations

  • Manage teller transactions and branch stock (cards, currency).
  • Perform first-line maintenance of banking devices and ATMs.
  • Ensure compliance with cash management policies and treasury procedures.

Risk & Compliance

  • Prevent fraud by following strict client authentication policies.
  • Adhere to governance, risk, and compliance standards.
  • Protect client information and maintain confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or NQF Level 5 Banking Services qualification preferred.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in retail banking, teller services, or digital banking support.
  • Strong client service, cash handling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tech-savvy and fluent in English (Afrikaans and additional SA languages an advantage).
