About the Opportunity

Midvaal Local Municipality is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for six (6) Call Centre Agent positions. These roles form part of the municipality’s customer service and complaints management function, and offer the opportunity to gain public sector experience and accredited customer service training in a fast-paced call centre environment.

Preference will be given to residents of the Midvaal Local Municipality, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Contact Centre or Business Process Support Certificate (accredited training programme)
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans/English); IsiZulu or Sesotho will be an added advantage
• Computer literate
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Passionate, motivated and friendly
• Attention to detail and strong office administration skills
• Knowledge of Midvaal Local Municipality and the municipal area (public sector experience is an advantage)
• 2 years relevant experience in call centre / customer care environment (advantage)
• Must be willing to work shift hours
  • Day Shift: 06:00–14:00
  • Afternoon Shift: 14:00–22:00
• Must reside within the jurisdiction of Midvaal Local Municipality or be able to travel to and from Meyerton

Key Duties

• Handle incoming calls and register customer complaints
• Provide professional feedback and maintain excellent customer service standards
• Reach and exceed municipal service delivery targets
• Ensure compliance with the Municipality’s service charter and complaint turn-around times
• Perform related ad-hoc duties as requested by management
