Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is rolling out a 12-month in-service trainee programme at the Midrand bottling plant, and the spot lives in Manufacturing. The placement suits students busy with a National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and still chasing the practical hours that finish their course. Participants will dive into daily operations, shadow seasoned technicians, fix and service machines, and pick up real-world engineering know-how at speed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
KEY OUTPUT
To maintain (inspect and adjust) and repair equipment proactively as per maintenance targets in order to continually improve department efficiency, to optimize equipment availability and to minimize losses and risk.
KNOWLEDGE
An understanding of electrical, mechanical, physics and mathematics related to the engineering industry and practices.

Skills, Experience & Education
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 with Mathematics & Physical Science passed with 40% (NOT Mathematics Literacy)
- Two South African Languages passed with 40%
- Studying towards National Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related qualification
- Completed theoretical modules and require practical exposure to complete the qualification
- Willing to complete In-Service/ Experiential Training in Industry
- Must not have previously completed an In-Service Trainee programme at another company or organization
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must be Employment Equity candidate
- Must have been unemployed at the time of appointment
- Must be between 18-35 years of age
- Candidate must have a letter from the institution requesting workplace experience in order for the candidate to complete their qualification
- The In-Service Trainee programme runs over a period of 12 months
