The position is a full-time cleaning role on all campuses of CPUT. Key Responsibilities of the Cleaning Job
- General and deep cleaning of university buildings and facilities
- Strip, seal, and clean floors
- Replenish cleaning supplies (soap, toilet rolls, etc.) daily
- Report maintenance or safety issues
- Operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely
- Obey strict Health and Safety regulations
- Assist with other cleaning duties as needed
Minimum Cleaner Job Requirements
- Grade 10 (Standard 8)
- Certification in Hygiene, Cleaning, or Housekeeping
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a professional cleaner
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, products, and equipment
- Physically fit (able to lift, climb ladders, operate machines)
Added Advantage:
- Grade 12 / Matric certification
- Internal CPUT applicants will be given priority

- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals
