Overview
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is hiring a General Assistant – Trolleys to support its Airport Operations. The successful candidate will report to the Charge Hand: Trolleys and play a key role in ensuring the availability, safety, and efficient use of airport trolleys.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and report faulty or unserviceable equipment
- Deploy trolleys as needed throughout the day
- Ensure trolley assets are safeguarded and accounted for
- Adhere to all safety regulations, SOPs, and operational policies
- Minimise injury risk by maintaining a safe working environment
- Help control and reduce company liability through risk management
- Submit reports on operational issues and constraints
- Monitor and report on trolley stock levels
- Perform regular trolley counts
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth operations
- Provide assistance to passengers and other customers as needed
- Assist in planning and monitoring staff and resources based on demand
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
- Driver’s License (Code B) – Advantageous
- Previous experience in an airport or logistics environment is beneficial
Key Competencies
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to follow rules and procedures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of airport operations and safety practices
