Key Purpose of the Role
The Service Consultant role is designed for highly motivated individuals who excel in customer service and client engagement. You will be the face of Discovery Vitality, ensuring that every interaction leaves a lasting positive impression.
Your purpose is to deliver accurate, efficient, and friendly support — helping clients understand their benefits, policies, and rewards while maintaining Discovery’s commitment to world-class service.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and empathy.
- Provide expert advice on insurance, medical aid, and wellness programme benefits.
- Resolve client queries promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain Discovery’s service quality standards and performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify customer needs and propose suitable products or solutions.
- Document all interactions accurately in the CRM system.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve customer satisfaction goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
- Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) – advantageous.
- 1+ years of call centre or client service experience in insurance, financial services, or medical aid industries.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- FAIS accreditation will be a strong advantage.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
