Job Overview
Matjhabeng Municipality is hiring 150 General Workers to support municipal operations within the Community Services Department. This opportunity is ideal for physically fit individuals who can perform various labour tasks, operate basic equipment, and assist in maintaining public infrastructure and facilities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties, including cleaning, digging, loading, and unloading materials
- Maintain municipal facilities to required standards
- Operate basic tools and equipment relevant to assigned tasks
- Follow supervisor instructions and meet daily work targets
- Comply with safety regulations and municipal policies
- Assist across different sections/departments when required
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
- Ability to communicate in local languages
- Physically fit to perform manual labour tasks
- Driver’s licence will be an added advantage
- Preference for candidates residing within the Matjhabeng Municipal area
Salary & Benefits
- Annual Salary: R146,424 – R154,800
- Excludes: Bonus, housing subsidy, pension fund, car allowance, and medical aid
